I have over 20 years experience as a performer and teacher. I have played on some of the biggest stages in the country and taught all ages and abilities. I have a lifelong passion for the communication of music and seek to inspire all those I teach to be the best musician they can be.

Whomever I am teaching, on whichever instrument, and whatever their preferred learning style, it is my privilege to engage and inspire them to be the best musician they can be. As a teacher I try to motivate students as much as I can by fostering a joy for music and for the instrument they are playing. Hard work and practice is essential but the motivation should always be an eager desire to grow as a musician. I tailor my approach to each individual as everyone is unique and learns in their own particular way. I teach many different styles of music reflecting my varied career as a performer, covering everything from classical and jazz to rock, pop, punk and funk. Some students respond well to preparing for exams, and those I enter tend to achieve merits or distinctions. Others prefer to progress in their own way without exams. I teach all levels from beginner to advanced and all ages from young to old. Lesson lengths vary from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the student's needs.
