About Chiara
My name is Chiara, I am 24 years old and I am originally from Swindon, Wiltshire. Having recently graduated from The Open University, I aim to soon become a fully recognised teacher within the next year.
I have always had a passion for literature as well as for creative writing - in fact, I'm in the middle of writing a book myself! If I can help a learner to find their own passion for literature then I really believe that would be something incredible.
One of my strengths as a tutor is my ability to find something that the learner engages well with, and adapt this to help them to understand the material that they need to learn. The explanations can sound quite funny or unusual at times, but they work!

When entering a lesson with a new learner, I take a person-based approach, in that we work together to understand exactly what areas the learner is struggling with, where their strengths lie and what level they aim to achieve.
A typical lesson will usually consist of at least an hour, however longer time slots can be requested depending on the needs of the learner. Some learners benefit more from a smaller time slot such as the one hour slot, others benefit more from longer and more intensive lessons lasting anywhere from one hour and a half to three hours.
I recently graduated from the Open University with a BA (Hons) in English Literature, which I studied part-time so as to gain more experience in working with young people of a variety of ages not just in England, but also in Switzerland, Germany and Italy.
My aim is to provide lessons for learners approaching their GCSEs and A Levels who feel that they need some extra help, or simply wish to review certain areas of their study.
