About Jane
Writing doesn't have to be scary! While a 10 page essay, book report, or short story might seem like a daunting task, I can show you how to turn it into a fun adventure. Throughout my time as a college student and young professional, I have learned that the best part of writing is that you can make mistakes! Unlike math or science, there are no right or wrong answers when it comes to writing. However, I can teach you some simple formulas and tricks to help you turn your thoughts into pages of organized ideas. My tutoring lessons are a judgement free zone.
The only way to get answers is to ask questions, so ask away!

As a tutor, I like to create personalized lesson plans based on each student. Everybody learns in different ways, so it is important to have multiple methods in place for varying learning styles!
One of the best ways to get a grasp on your own writing, is to read the work of others. Each session, I ask that my students read a writing sample of my choosing that will apply to what assignment they are working on at that time. This teaches them proper format, organization of ideas, and how to successfully get their point across. Creative writing, reading comprehension, and even essays can be fun if you switch your mindset!
I am confident teaching students of all ages in language arts, writing and the overall understanding of the English language.
