About Maelo
Hello! My name is Maelo and I am a recent graduate of Politics, Philosophy and Law from King's College London. At GCSE and A-level, I had problems with structuring my studies/revision. By carefully understanding where I was struggling and by adopting the right revision techniques I was able to achieve 5 A*s + 5 As at GCSE and 2 A*s + 2 As at A-Level. At university, these techniques have served me well and I wish to share them with others!
I loved learning multiple subjects within my interdisciplinary degree and I believe that I have a unique understanding of adapting studying techniques because of this variety. I think it's important to understand the wider picture as well as the finite details when learning as it helps the student contextualise their knowledge and enjoy the subject more.

I believe that tutoring has to be adapted to the individual needs of the student. Therefore, I approach my lessons by asking the student what they are struggling with and by building a tailored teaching plan for them.
My lessons will typically last an hour which will consist of a mix of teaching and guided work for the student. At the end of the session, I will assess what has worked best for the student and identify any gaps in their knowledge to work on. I am also happy to help with producing notes. I am particularly strong in assisting with essay writing.
I can tutor from primary school up until A levels.
