About Aya
I am currently pursuing an MSc in Control and Optimisation (within Electrical and Electronic Engineering) at Imperial College London. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Computer Science from the American University of Beirut, where I graduated with high distinction.
Beyond academics, I have published research in robotics and control systems, received a Best Student Paper Award at an international conference, and was awarded competitive scholarships, including an Imperial scholarship supporting women in STEM. I also served as President of both the Robotics Club and Chess Club at my university, leading workshops, competitions, and educational initiatives.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence in mathematics and STEM subjects. My goal is to make learning approachable, engaging, and tailored to each student's needs so they can achieve their academic goals and develop lasting problem solving skills.

My tutoring approach focuses on building understanding and confidence through clear explanations, step by step problem solving, and plenty of guided practice.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and tailored to each student's needs, whether they are looking to strengthen fundamentals, improve grades, or prepare for exams. I have experience mentoring students through private tutoring, university clubs, workshops, and academic support, and I enjoy making challenging concepts accessible and engaging.
I offer lessons for students and younger learners in Mathematics, Physics, and related STEM subjects, as well as languages like Arabic, French and English.
