About Adam
I have over ten years of tutoring history. I tutor all ages, grades and topics, from arithmetic to Linear Algebra, I make a point of learning about each individual student so that I know what style of study and lecture would fit them properly. I’ve tutored kids with all types of personalities, attention spans and levels of interest in math and this is completely normal! After all, we are human and no two people are going to learn the same way. Part of why I love to tutor is the challenge of figuring out how to best tutor an individual student.

My personal philosophy for tutoring is always allowing the student to try as much as they can before I introduce myself to each problem. Every student has a different level of need and to properly attack those needs, it’s important to find a middle ground between leaving the student hanging and confused and doing so much of the work that the student isn’t working. To put it into today’s terms, I don’t want to be the parents who don’t remember the topic at all and can’t help but I also don’t want to be your personal ChatGPT! I strive to find the middle ground where I’m not wasting the student’s time and straight up giving out answers without actually teaching.

Adam’s patience and humor helped me feel more at ease when going over complicated math problems. He helped me feel more confident on the topics and really took the time to make sure I understood the work. He’s very knowledgeable and is honest if he doesn’t know something, but will help work through the problems he is a little rusty on.
Adam is a friendly, patient, and easy-to-work-with guide to all those difficult math questions. His way of explaining complicated terms and problems step-by-step is complemented by his ability to make comparisons to the real world or fun thought experiments. I cannot recommend him enough for learners of all ages to succeed.
