Graduate of M(Mus) in Traditional Folk Music at Newcastle University, teaching in the North East. 5 years experience with performing and teaching violin, singing and piano.

About Ditte
I'm a violinist, pianist and singer who has worked with multiple different genres including traditional folk, classical and electronic. Teaching is the other half of my musical practice and it brings me an enormous amount of joy and inspiration to help people learn and enjoy music.

My main focus as a teacher is to help students develop their creativity, confidence and - above all - their enjoyment of their instrument and the music. I work with both written notation and learning by ear in order for the student to get a full sense of their musicality and an understanding of what their instrument can do.
I teach all ages from beginners to advanced - 30 minutes for children 14 and under, 60 minutes for students 15 and over
I've been teaching violin, piano and singing privately and at evening schools since for 5 years. I have also run choirs and folk music ensembles. Since 2011, I've been performing and composing music. Aside from my Masters in traditional folk music, I also have extensive experience in classical piano and singing.
