About Richie
I enjoy teaching and my goal is to make every student understand math and not just learn it off. Math when you're just staring at a bunch of numbers is tricky and daunting, but if you incorporate visual learning and can then visualize concepts graphically or geometrically. Then you can see what the math looks like and it becomes far more intuitive and you'll start to actually enjoy math.

I believe in hands-on learning. During my degree every class would have PowerPoints of formulas which would be scary and hard to understand and I would come away feeling like I'd not learned a whole lot. I think the best way to learn is to work through questions, make mistakes and try many different examples to figure out and get a feel for how or why problems functions are behaving the way they do. I would approach questions in different ways until one made sense to the student I'm dealing with.
