About Shannon
I am a recent University of Concordia graduate with a Master's in Art History, and I have a passion for teaching all things related to the Social Sciences. I have years of experience working with youth as an art teacher and as a Teaching Assistant at the undergraduate level. I also have experience editing academic journals and provide help with essay writing and editing.

I'm a writer, tutor, and lover of learning who has been helping students meet their learning goals since 2016.
There is no one way of learning, and it is important to me that every student feels confident in their abilities in my classroom and beyond. I tailor my teaching style to the unique needs of each student and help my students develop a personal learning plan. My method ranges from strategies like memory games and flashcards, to discussion-based learning, and in-depth analysis of readings and course material.
I offer:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, word usage, and style.
- Years of experience both studying and teaching Art History as well as the history of various time periods.
- Essay/writing help and proofreading as well as suggestions and strategies on how to improve writing in the future.
- Ability to help students understand difficult concepts through clear examples and plain language.
- Experience helping students with organization and time management.
- A love of learning and sharing a wide general knowledge of history, geography, culture, philosophy, and the fine arts.
