About Marlin
I have been playing since the age of 8 years old, and started with electric guitar. After learning how to shred and play any rock song I wanted, I started learning classical, flamenco, and jazz at Orange County School of the Arts. During this time I have played in several different environments, from classical guitar competitions to Jazz festivals and underground hardcore rock shows. I have a versatile approach so that no matter what the student's needs are, I can accommodate.

Depending on what your goal is with the instrument, I will design a lesson plan that challenges your weakness enough to achieve your goals. Similar to a personal trainer, I will prescribe you a regimen that will undeniably get you closer to your goals, all the while making it something both inspiring, motivating, and fun.

Learning guitar with Marlin has been great! Anytime I get stuck on something I just can’t figure out, he breaks it down in a way that makes sense. He also lets me pick any song I want to learn, which keeps things fun, but he’s got tons of technical knowledge if you want to dive deeper.
Why I recommend him to other Superprof members:
He’s super easy to work with, patient, and really knows his stuff. He makes learning guitar feel doable and enjoyable while pushing me to be a better player.View more recommendations
