About Gwyneth
I am currently a personal assistant in the music industry, but am currently exploring tutoring opportunities; founded on my love and history of teaching kids, and excellent academic record, I foster both knowledge and confidence in those I tutor.
A graduate from the University of Sheffield in English Literature, I first began working with kids as a peer mentor at sixth form, where I helped many younger children improve their grades and build confidence. I achieved almost entirely straight A's at GCSE and A Level, specialising primarily in essay based subjects. Leaving sixth form with a B in Classics, an A in English and an A* in Psychology, I feel I have the ability to break down and explain what makes a truly great essay.
It was during my time at Camp America that my love for working with kids was cemented, I built activity plans, set goals for my kids and structured fun, informative and educational lessons that I then carried out with them. I feel confident in my ability to combine this experience, with my experience with tutoring, to help your child achieve their goals. Together we'll set goals for your child, and then I'll work collaboratively with your child to achieve them. I am a friendly, reliable and intelligent person, with whom you can trust your child's education.

I focus on structure and essay writing to help students achieve high grades. I did three essay subjects at A Level, where I achieved grades A* to A, all based on my ability to break down essay structure and apply this across subjects. I focus in on essay marking criteria, break this down for the tutee in a way they can understand, and show them how to apply corrections and essay structure in a way that allows them to express their thoughts succinctly and clearly.
I have previously worked with children during my time as a camp counsellor at a summer camp, where I built tailored activity and lesson plans to educate and entertain my campers. During my time at sixth form, I was also a peer mentor, and helped younger students to raise and improve their grades.
