About Jaidan
I am a graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in Neurobiology & Physiology and a minor in Health, Humanities, and Medicine. Although I am pursuing a career in medicine as a physician, math has always been a passion of mine. I tutored peers 3-4 days a week in my high school's calculus clubs and I spent my undergraduate years as a virtual mathematics tutor to elementary-middle school aged students. I also have experience as a teaching assistant at the University of Maryland for introductory biology courses. In my free time, I like to play volleyball, read, and spend time with my friends.

As a tutor, I always start each lesson asking students what they are learning in class and if there was anything specific (like worksheets or homework assignments) they have been struggling with or would like to work on. If so, I structure a lesson plan around those topics and help students work through those worksheets. In addition, I communicate with parents about topics they'd like their children to become adept in, and help students get ahead in their classes. I value an approach of explaining material, executing a practice problem, executing a second practice problem with the student, and having the student attempt multiple practice problems with review.
