About Georgia
My journey to Cambridge was made possible by the incredible teachers who inspired and supported me. Their guidance gave me the confidence to aim high and the skills to achieve the grades I needed. Unfortunately, the traditional classroom setting often makes it difficult for every student to get the individual attention they need to truly thrive.
This is why I am passionate about private tutoring. One-on-one support can transform a student’s confidence, address areas of confusion immediately, and provide a tailored learning experience that classrooms often can’t offer.
With a patient and responsive teaching approach, I focus on building positive relationships with my students to inspire enthusiasm for learning and the motivation to reach their full potential. Whether your goal is to bridge gaps in understanding, achieve top grades, or overcome challenges with motivation and confidence, I’m here to help.
I have experience working with:
- Students striving to meet age attainment levels.
- High achievers aiming to excel and stretch their abilities.
- Students facing challenges such as low motivation, lack of confidence, SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health), and SEND (special educational needs and disabilities).

Confidence is key to mastering any subject, and my aim is to boost my students’ confidence in a way that supports their unique learning needs—whether in Maths, English, entrance exam preparation, or Formal Logic. My approach is flexible and tailored to the individual.
Some students benefit from having a supportive guide to discuss their thought process and ensure they stay on track. Others may need alternative explanations for concepts they've encountered before to help solidify their understanding. Wherever a student feels confident, I create opportunities to stretch their abilities and encourage further growth.
Lessons are highly interactive, with the goal of keeping the student engaged and talking for the majority of the session. I encourage students to explain their reasoning, fostering critical thinking and a deeper grasp of the subject matter. At the same time, I incorporate opportunities for them to demonstrate their independent understanding.
Here’s how a typical lesson is structured:
Starter Activity: A quick exercise to activate prior knowledge and set the stage for the lesson.
Main Tutorial: Focused instruction and guided practice in the area of focus, with opportunities for discussion and collaborative problem-solving.
Independent Practice: Time for the student to apply what they’ve learned by working independently on tailored questions or exercises.
Plenary: A reflection session where the student reviews their progress and identifies any areas that may need further attention.
Homework is optional, based on the preference of parents or carers, but can be a valuable tool for assessing independent understanding. Additionally, I use casual 6-weekly assessments to track progress, identify strengths, and address areas for improvement.
By combining structured lessons with a personalised approach, I aim to foster both confidence and a lasting enthusiasm for learning.
