About Payton
I believe that students should feel respected and safe in their learning environment. I am driven to support students in overcoming any limitations that may have them believe they are not fit for STEM, as I myself once believed. Through active listening, and viewing students as individuals who hold their own set of experiences, I aim to tailor their learning environment to their individual needs. As I grow my interpersonal communication skills, I hope to create a dynamic classroom that can adapt to any student regardless of their background, learning style, or life experiences.

As a student who has struggled with learning difficulties, I taught myself many courses through various techniques. I like to have my students take a quick learning style test so I can use the techniques best suited to them. I have experience working with third-grade through college students.
