About Rachel
I’m an optimistic strong-minded and committed teacher who takes pride in creating and delivering exciting and engaging workshops, catering for a variety of abilities and needs. I am passionate for the arts to be an accessible tool for personal growth and I take pride in seeing my students develop and improve.
I have trained with RADA and National youth theatre and completed my own LAMDA examinations when I was younger and saw the direct benefit they had on my development both personally and as an actor.

About the lesson

I am passionate and nurturing in my approach and help students explore text as different characters. I have taught a variety of students including those who english is their second language as well as students looking at applying for performing arts schools.
I teach from introductory to Grade 8, ages 4-18 however Grade will be dependent on ability not age. After assessing children's ability and experience I will recommend and entry level specific to each child.
With my youngest students I focus on confidence building and poetry. Letting them explore imaginative settings and introducing them to the basics of acting so they feel confident in entering an Entry Level LAMDA exam where they recite a poem and speak about their favourite toy.
With my older students we explore text from Shakespeare to modern day introducing Stanislavski techniques as my students progress.
