About Hannah
Hi! I’m Hannah, a recent graduate from Creighton University where I majored in Medical Anthropology on the pre-med track. I tutor elementary, middle school, and high school students in a variety of subjects including biology, chemistry, physiology, psychology, writing, study skills, and general science courses.
I have always loved helping others learn, and my goal as a tutor is to make students feel confident, supported, and capable. I understand that many students can feel overwhelmed or discouraged in school, especially in science and math-related subjects, so I focus on creating an encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
My teaching style is very personalized because every student learns differently. I break down difficult concepts into simple, understandable steps. I also help students develop better study habits, organization skills, and test-taking strategies that can benefit them long-term.

As both a student and teaching assistant, I understand how overwhelming fast-paced science courses can feel, especially when concepts start building on each other quickly.
My teaching style is interactive and tailored to each student’s learning style. I focus on breaking down concepts into smaller, understandable steps and connecting topics together.
I'll focus on identifying what the student is struggling with most, then to reviewing foundational concepts before working through examples and practice questions. I like to focus on understanding patterns and reasoning processes. At the end of sessions, I help students create a clear plan for independent studying.
My background in both medicine-focused science courses and anthropology has taught me how to explain complex ideas in ways that are approachable to different learners. I have experience as an Organic Chemistry Laboratory TA, a research student studying antibiotic resistance, and a CNA working directly with patients in healthcare settings. These experiences have strengthened my ability to teach clearly and meet students where they are academically without judgment.
My lessons are ideal for elementary, middle school, and high school students. I especially enjoy helping students who feel intimidated by STEM subjects, are preparing for major exams, or want to improve their confidence and study habits alongside course content.
