About Lily
As a classically trained singer with a BA in Music from Durham University and current studies in Vocal Studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world experience to my teaching. I have performed professionally with Opera North in productions such as Otello, La Bohème, and Albert Herring, and have taken part in masterclasses with Dame Ann Murray and Roderick Williams. My approach is professional, supportive, and tailored to each individual. I focus on building strong, healthy vocal technique while nurturing musicality, confidence, and a love for performance. Whether you're a complete beginner or preparing for auditions, I create a welcoming space where students of all ages and levels can grow and thrive.

My teaching focuses on developing strong, healthy vocal technique as a foundation for exploring a wide range of repertoire, while nurturing a genuine love for singing and performing. I create a friendly, supportive environment tailored to each student’s goals and needs. Lessons typically last between 30–60 minutes, depending on the student's age and experience level. I’m deeply passionate about singing, performing, and music as a whole, and have dedicated much of my life to understanding and mastering the art. I would love the opportunity to share that passion with others. I hold a BA in Music from Durham University and currently study Vocal Studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. With professional experience performing with Opera North, and having taken part in masterclasses with Dame Ann Murray and Roderick Williams, I welcome students of all ages and abilities.
