About Jake
Hi! I'm Jake, an experienced tutor with over 600 online lessons delivered to students of all ages and abilities. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Physics and a Master's degree in Computer Science, giving me a strong understanding of mathematics, physics, and problem-solving.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student's needs. Whether you're preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, or simply want to build confidence in a subject, I focus on making complex topics easy to understand through clear explanations and plenty of practice.
My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to develop the confidence and independent learning skills that will benefit them long after our lessons.

During my lessons I like to approach the start by asking is there any specific topic they may want help with or any work they have recently been doing that they may have struggled with. If not I like to cover practice papers and questions as I find this is the best way to prepare them for the real exams they will be taking. I have had this approach for the last 5 years and have helped many students achieve their goals. My typical lesson would last 1 hour however I am open to suggestion to suit your needs. The levels I have tutored range from primary school maths, GCSE foundation and higher level, A-Level and university courses.
