About Eleanor
I love maths (so much I did a masters degree in it) and I think everyone can come to love maths too (or at least tolerate it). I think maths is so much easier when you understand it rather than try to learn all the processes to solve questions by rote, so I always aim to help my students understand what a question is asking and the logic behind the solution so when it comes to exams they can solve anything that is thrown at them.

I teach in online slots ranging between 1 and 2 hours, I can do in person at your home but you must be in the Cambridge area. I have tutored for a number of years and have covered a range of ages and abilities. Whilst I prefer A Level and GCSE, I am also happy tutoring for University and school entrance exams and SATs, as well as general maths tutoring for secondary school students.
I aim to teach an understanding of the maths and utilise real world examples to anchor the knowledge, supplemented by lots of question practice of course. I can set and mark homework, if desired.
