About Ava
I am a young native English speaker from the United States living in Europe, and a recent IB graduate. I enjoy working with children and teenagers and always create a supportive space where they feel confident to speak and make mistakes. Because I am learning other languages myself, I know how challenging it can be, and I use that experience to make English learning easier and fun. I’m patient, reliable, and love seeing my students make progress step by step. I have previous experience running English activities with children, and I love helping them gain confidence step by step.

I create a fun and interactive environment where children feel confident using English. My lessons combine games, songs, stories, and visuals for younger students, while older students benefit from guided conversations, grammar support, and vocabulary practice. I make sure lessons are engaging and adapted to each child’s age, level, and learning style. A typical lesson plan with me looks like: - Warm up: fun activity to get the student speaking (game, riddle, or quick chat). - Main focus: grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, or homework help explained clearly and practiced through interactive activities. - Practice: speaking, or short writing activity to apply what they’ve learned. - Wrap-up: review of key points + homework (if desired) or a small task to reinforce learning.
