About Sam
Having 15 years of guitar experience under my belt and around 5 years of music theory knowledge, I am eager to share what I have learned over these years.
From my self-taught background I can appreciate the frustrations that come with learning an instrument, at all stages - be it learning an entirely new song, understanding the nature of chord structure, or finding your voice as a musician. Often is the case that some guidance and accompaniment from a fellow musician is all that is needed to boost your ability and gain confidence as a player, and with practice of course!
With my experience of playing in bands over the years this has greatly enhanced my playing and understanding of how to sympathise musically with others - and taught me many valuable lessons. It is precisely these lessons which I feel are of so much to value to those who enjoy creating music. Typically a session will run between 1-2 hours and involve a very hands-on, practical approach to learning. Music theory is played in practice throughout the session and at a pace you are comfortable with.
I am eager to share the technical and theoretical knowledge I have gathered over my musical years. Whether a complete beginner to the instrument looking to learn the basics from scratch, or a seasoned vet on the axe wanting to pick up a new approach to playing! - I would love to help you on your way to becoming the best guitarist you can be.
There are certainly no shortcuts when it comes to learning and eventually mastering your instrument, however a hand in the right direction and some quality advice will absolutely go a long way.
