About Emaelia
I have been a dedicated singer since nursery having taken part in plays and musicals as well as private singing lessons consistently for around 15 years. Having done choir and chamber choir I enhanced my classical technique and during secondary school I ran sessions to help encourage younger singers. I have a background in many instruments such as piano and clarinet which helped me enhance my pitch and rhythm skills as well as ability to read music.
Teaching singing to young children has always been something I have wanted to do, I understand how scary it seems to sing in front of people and want to curate a safe space for children to practise technique in a judgement free environment. Having worked in a nursery and volunteered in a primary school I have an understanding of how best to inspire young singers and having done ABRSM and Trinity grades I can help your child through their exams.

I am a grade 8 singer who has specialised in musical theatre and classical for the last 15 years with both ABRSM and Trinity. My practice is limited to young children through to early teens as my style of teaching instils confidence and focuses on building foundational habits tailored to young voices. My aim is to encourage children to explore singing through appropriate techniques to enhance their understanding of their voice and ability.
Lessons typically are 30 minutes long to ensure maintained enthusiasm from the child throughout, however for older children doing higher grade levels 45 minute lessons are available.
