About Akshiv
I am a 1st year medical student at the University of Cincinnati with a bachelors in Physiology from UCLA. I am particularly passionate about helping people and tutoring is one of my favorite outlets to do it! In the past I have worked with various online and in-person organizations, teaching students from a diverse range of backgrounds and ages. I have been working as a professional tutor since my sophomore year in high school and have also worked as a teaching assistant in classes in college. I like to think of myself as a curious person and I like to instill that same curiosity in my students.

As a medical student at the University of Cincinnati and a UCLA graduate in Physiology, I’ve spent over 8 years helping students unlock their potential across a range of subjects. I understand how overwhelming it can be to navigate complex material and juggle academic demands. That’s why my approach focuses not just on mastering concepts, but also on developing study strategies that work for each individual student. By building strong foundations and personalized systems for learning, students can achieve their immediate goals while setting themselves up for long-term success.
I offer tutoring in high school subjects, college-level biology and chemistry (including organic chemistry), and test prep for the SAT, ACT, and MCAT.
