About Joni
With 35+ years of teaching experience and more than 16820 students successfully guided, I have devoted my career to helping aspiring violinists achieve musical excellence. My experience includes beginner instruction, advanced mentoring, and performance coaching across diverse musical traditions.
Many students have excelled in competitions, orchestras, concerts, and professional music opportunities. Their accomplishments continue to inspire my commitment to music education and artistic growth.
I believe violin playing encourages discipline, creativity, and emotional expression while fostering a deep connection with music. My teaching philosophy emphasizes technical mastery, confidence, and artistic individuality.

Violin is taught through a performance-centered methodology that develops technical precision and expressive musicianship. Lessons cover bowing techniques, posture, scales, intonation, rhythm training, sight reading, and music theory while adapting to learners at every stage of development. The learning experience combines discipline with creativity to build confident performers.
Students participate in repertoire studies, assignments, ear training, ensemble practice, and concert preparation that strengthen technique and artistic interpretation. Practical instruction helps learners refine musical expression while building confidence on stage.
Advanced instruction explores advanced bowing styles, vibrato, orchestral performance, interpretation, and advanced repertoire. Learners develop professional-level skills that support examinations, performances, and lifelong musical growth.
