About Victoria
I’m an editor with over 10 years of experience proofreading and editing English for writers from many backgrounds. My work has always involved helping people get their footing with written English — understanding what works, what doesn’t, and why.
I’ve lived and worked in Jamaica, the UK, Thailand, and India, which has given me a strong awareness of how English is learned and used differently around the world. Through editing, I’ve seen how reading carefully and understanding structure can make a real difference to confidence and clarity.
I want to teach reading because it connects directly to what I do as an editor: slowing down, paying attention to detail, and building understanding step by step. My goal is to help students feel more comfortable reading English and recognising patterns they can use on their own.

Techniques and teaching methodology
My lessons are based on careful reading and clear explanation. I work through texts with students, focusing on pronunciation, sentence structure, and meaning.
