About Spencer
I’m a British fashion designer and First Class Honors Fashion Design graduate from Central Saint Martins, currently working professionally within the international fashion industry as a fashion designer at a leading luxury American brand.
My career has taken me across London, New York and Los Angeles, giving me experience within some of the world’s most exciting fashion environments. I have worked with Alexander Wang, AREA, Dunhill, Alexander McQueen and HBO.
My work has also crossed into celebrity dressing, music and editorial, creating pieces for internationally recognized artists including Björk, EARTHGANG and KSI, with my work and interviews featured across British Vogue, V Magazine, Glamour, Wonderland, Highsnobiety, Complex and MTV.
Before entering the industry, I studied Fashion Design with Marketing at Central Saint Martins, graduating with First Class Honors. My time at CSM fundamentally shaped the way I approach design, encouraging experimentation, strong research, conceptual thinking and, above all, the development of an individual creative identity.
Since graduating, I have experienced fashion from both sides, first as a student navigating the highly competitive application and portfolio process, and now as a professional designer developing collections within the international fashion industry.
That combination is what I bring to my mentoring.
I understand how overwhelming applying to leading fashion schools can feel, particularly when trying to work out what tutors actually want to see in a portfolio. My aim is to demystify that process and give students the kind of individual, industry informed guidance I would have found invaluable when I was applying.
I’m passionate about working with emerging creatives and helping them push their ideas further, take risks and discover what makes their work genuinely distinctive. I want every student I mentor to leave with more than a stronger portfolio. I want them to become a more confident, curious and independent creative thinker.

My lessons are designed for ambitious students looking to build an outstanding Fashion Design or Fashion Marketing portfolio for leading European and American fashion schools, including Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion, Parsons, FIT and other highly competitive creative programs.
As a First-Class Honours Fashion Design graduate from Central Saint Martins and an international fashion designer with luxury, celebrity and editorial experience, I combine first-hand knowledge of studying at one of the world’s leading fashion schools with current, real-world industry experience.
My professional experience spans London, New York and Los Angeles, including work with Alexander Wang and AREA, alongside projects and collaborations connected with Dunhill, Alexander McQueen and HBO. I have created work for international artists and celebrity clients, including Björk and EARTHGANG, with my work featured across British Vogue, V Magazine, Glamour, Wonderland, Highsnobiety, Complex and MTV.
PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT
My mentoring goes far beyond simply making a portfolio “look good.” I help students develop the originality, experimentation and individual point of view that leading fashion schools are looking for.
We can work together across concept development, research, sketchbooks, fashion illustration, design development, collection building, styling, photography, creative direction, layout, editing and final portfolio presentation.
Having studied Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins, I understand the importance of showing the creative journey behind your work — not simply polished final outcomes. I can help you communicate how you think as a designer, from initial research and experimentation through to development and final execution.
Whether you are starting from scratch or already have an established portfolio, I can help you develop new projects, identify gaps, strengthen existing work and edit your final portfolio into a compelling and cohesive application.
INTERVIEW & APPLICATION PREPARATION
I also offer dedicated fashion-school application and interview preparation, particularly for students targeting CSM and other highly competitive programs.
Drawing on my own experience at Central Saint Martins, alongside professional interviews, portfolio reviews and presentations throughout my international fashion career, I can help you learn how to confidently articulate your ideas and speak intelligently about your work.
Through mock interviews and one-to-one preparation, we can practise discussing your portfolio, research, influences, creative decisions and ambitions — allowing your personality and creative voice to come through naturally without sounding over-rehearsed.
INDIVIDUAL MENTORING
Every lesson is tailored around you, your work and the schools you are targeting. I am not interested in creating generic “fashion school portfolios” or teaching students to imitate somebody else’s aesthetic.
My goal is to discover what makes your work unmistakably yours and help you develop the portfolio, confidence and creative voice needed to stand out — creating an application that feels original, sophisticated, personal and impossible to overlook.
