About Arjan
I always wanted to be a teacher. I had some really bad ones growing up, and I saw how having bad teachers made learning more difficult than it needed to be. Especially in math, I was never good at it. After meeting a really good teacher that helped me get from failing math to topping my class, I learned how to pass on information in the best ways possible. Basically, my teacher taught me how to learn and not memorize.

Teaching is more than just telling the student what you know and what they do not. It's about listening to the student to understand what they need and how they receive information in the most effective method possible. I take the time to get to know each of my students individually before teaching, and this helps me cater to every student personally.

Arjan has been very helpful and understanding in taking the time to learn the way the student is best able to intake information. He uses this heavily in his teaching methods in order for the work given to the student to be engaging and easier to learn. On top of that, he is not overbearing and is very friendly with the student to form a better connection, which symbiotically helps the student feel comfortable and eager to learn or make mistakes.
