About Nicole
I am a trilingual artist (English, Greek and French) with a Master's degree in Painting from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels.
I am a very positive, enthusiastic and supportive individual who is very interested in seeing you improve, that's why I put a lot of effort into creating the perfect tailored lessons for you!
Currently I work in a PRU as a Learning mentor, with students who have ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety or depression.

About the lesson

Very inclusive attitude to teaching as I am familiar with students who have SEN, I take on a flexible approach to teaching. I make sure your lessons are engaging and encouraging, helping to boost your confidence around the topic of art. I base my classes on assessing your abilities first, and then follow on from there, focusing on ways you can improve on your own skills of what you already know, before moving onto the next step. I will send you many personalised notes and pdf's to study from.
I always start by giving easy tasks, working with you to overcome any obstacles you might have regarding the lesson. I start by teaching about shapes, shading (values), then I move onto taking measurements (proportions, composition) and finally, when having moved onto drawing compositions of different objects, we move onto colour compositions, tones, tints and volume, enabling the student to discover each topic at his/her own pace. I often use examples from online resources (images) and introduce you to many old and contemporary artists, to help you familiarise with the topic better, or I use books of my own.
- Step by step learning following a lesson plan.
- Still life and life drawing, as well as portraiture.
- I paint in oils and acrylics but offer to teach you drawing first, basics before we move onto more advanced things.

Details
Depending on your level of practical skills in art/ knowledge in art (or if you want to be taught a specific technique), and if you live quite far (travel costs) I might charge slightly more. Thank you for your understanding.
