About Emilie
Hey, I’m Emilie I’m 25, originally from Germany, and recently moved to London. I studied mathematics and chemistry for my bachelor’s degree and will start my Master’s in psychology here this year.
I know how it feels to be anxious or stuck with maths, as I experienced this myself in school. Having gone through that journey and eventually learning to enjoy maths, I truly believe that everyone can learn it with the right approach, without feeling overwhelmed.
I’ve been tutoring maths for about 8 years and have worked with students at different levels, including those preparing for GCSEs and A Levels / Abitur. I also have experience with a range of learning needs, including ADHD and dyscalculia. Alongside tutoring, I’ve created maths content for one of Germany’s leading digital learning platforms
This experience has really helped me to explain complex topics in a simpler way, so they feel clear and manageable. I take the time to adapt to each student and guide them step by step, so they can build confidence over time.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy dancing, playing the piano, and cooking or baking.

My academic background in mathematics, combined with 8 years of one-to-one tutoring experience, allows me to teach across the GCSE, A Level, and German Abitur syllabus
I’m happy to support you with:

• Final exam preparation (including GCSEs, A Levels / Abitur)
• Reviewing class material
• Homework support
• Presentations
• Building study routines and managing exam anxiety
I adapt each session to the student’s level and learning style, identifying gaps and strengthening understanding through structured practice. I also provide homework to consolidate learning and at the end of each topic, I include short assessments to track progress and support exam preparation
Languages
I mainly teach maths in German but also offer lessons in English on request.
