About Alison
Hi there!
I am Alison - I was born and raised in German bilingually to a German mom and a US American dad - needless to say that I've always had a passion for languages.
I started tutoring both languages when I was only 16 years old and continued for years and years - on a private level as well as in small and medium sized businesses.
I went to university for German and German literature and although I never finished my degree - traveling the world was a higher priority for me - I got even deeper insights into the language and how to bring it closer to non native speakers.
Since moving to Australia, I have been teaching my Australian partner and his family German - realising how much I miss working in the educational field.
And now, here I am!

I am very flexible and adapt to my students needs and interests!
We can focus on building a beginners vocabulary, finding access to the language for travel or practice speaking.
It's also possible to have an advanced level conversation practice around different topics to build confidence.
We will become very clear on your goals and then will move forward accordingly!
