About Laura
Hello my name is Laura Grossschaedl, and I am a secondary and primary school teacher from Austria. I recently acquired the academic title of "Bachelor of Education" which qualifies me to teach in secondary and primary schools. In Austria I tutored English as a foreign language at all levels, German for native speakers and non-native speakers at all levels and French for school children up to the A-levels. Before I became a teacher I studied law in France and perfected the French language. Currently I am working at a London Primary School as a teaching assistant to familiarise myself with the UK curriculum. My goal is to be a teacher in the UK in a primary or secondary school.

My approach to tutoring language lessons is focused on creating a basis of grammatical understanding/building on existing grammatical understanding in order to allow students to communicate fluently and confidently in the targeted language. This involves modern approaches such as reading age appropriate texts with targeted vocabulary and listening comprehensions from authentic resources. These exercises will then be used to build up on speaking and writing skills. My focus is to provide my students the tools for building a high proficiency in the targeted language within my lessons, however, also to make my students independent language learners at home. A typical length of a lesson is 60 mins. I am an experienced tutor from Austria and holder of the academic title of "Bachelor of Education" in English and Nutrition for secondary and primary school teaching from the Graz University. I also studied in France and thus tutored French for students up to the A-levels. German is my native language and I tutored German for native speakers and non-native speakers in Austria. My lessons are for school children in German and French at any level. For adults I provide German lessons at any level and French lessons for beginners. Additionally, I provide English as a foreign/additional language for beginners.

Laura worked for me locally as a tutor in German, English and French at all school levels in individual and group lessons. In addition, Laura has successfully delivered an English course for adults at my institution, Privatunterricht Kaiser. Furthermore, Laura also taught mathematics up to upper secondary level. Laura's teaching incorporates creative and personalized teaching methods and is therefore highly student-centered. She takes the time to work with each student to identify their strengths and to work out ways together to support the student in their subject.
