I am passionate about language learning - especially German, French and Latin - and am excited to share this passion with you. I have years’ of experience as a private tutor. I focus on engaging my students - that is, instilling them with a passion for a subject and including new and interesting perspectives on culture, language and history.

The most important task of a teacher is to engage their students; only then can they teach rather than simply talk. While I tailor my lessons to meet the needs of each student, I remain committed to my belief inthe importance of a strong foundation in the language. This includes vocabularly and grammar exercises within the context of a broader appreciation of the culture and language (that is, not simply learning by rote). I also include interesting cultural and historical perspectives in my lessons, ranging from Bach to Beckenbauer. I look forward to sharing this passion with you.
My lessons typically last an hour but am flexible regarding time. I have over five years of experience as a tutor. My lessons are suitable for anyone of any age; I am friendly, outgoing and committed to doing the best for my students.
