About Sarah
I'm Sarah, and I was born and raised in Lebanon, where Arabic has always been an important part of my life. I have 4+ years of experience teaching Arabic, including teaching classes of 20+ students at the University of Richmond as an Arabic Instructor. I also have experience providing one-on-one tutoring to students with different backgrounds, ages, and learning goals.
I hold a Master’s degree in Arab Studies from Georgetown University, where I focused my studies on the Arab world as a region while also developing a strong academic foundation in Arabic. My experience as both a native speaker and an Arabic instructor allows me to approach the language from both a practical and academic perspective. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to your goals, level, and learning style. Whether you want to learn Levantine Arabic, Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), or simply become more confident speaking Arabic, I want our lessons to be engaging, practical, and comfortable.
Beyond the language itself, I love sharing the culture, history, music, and everyday expressions that make Arabic truly come alive. My goal is to help you learn Arabic in a way that feels natural, enjoyable, and meaningful.

Arabic is a beautiful language, but learning it shouldn’t feel overwhelming. My goal is to make Arabic clear, practical, and enjoyable while helping you build the confidence to actually use it. I’ve taught Arabic in academic classrooms and one-on-one settings, working with learners of all ages, from young children and teenagers to college students and professional adults. This experience has taught me that every student learns differently, so I always adapt my lessons to your goals, level, and learning style.
I teach both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Levantine Arabic. Whether you want to have everyday conversations, improve your reading and writing, study Arabic academically, or connect more deeply with Arab culture, we’ll build the lessons around what matters to you. My lessons are interactive and focused on actually using the language without just memorizing endless vocabulary and grammar rules. We’ll practice through conversation, real-life situations, engaging activities, and topics that interest you. I also love bringing Arab culture, history, and traditions into our lessons to make the language come alive. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable, encouraged, and excited to learn. Your progress is my priority, and I’d love to help you discover just how rewarding Arabic can be!
