About Charles Man
Hello, and welcome to the show! I am Charles, and I am a geologist with 5 years of industry experience. I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a BS degree, major in Geology, and minor in Music. I also come with over 10 years of tutoring experience, primarily private tutoring middle to early high school students in math and science. I am also a musician of 21 years, specializing in guitar, and percussion. I performed for thousands of people over the years in multiple settings, genres, and instruments. My main focus are rock/metal and concert percussion, but I am able to open up depending on your needs. My main mission is to make students understand both the HOW and the WHY, which helps knowledge retention almost tenfold. I can help study, tutor, teach, and provide guidance for all of the subjects I teach. Get ready to rock that test!

I am very hands-off, meaning, you will be guided to the answer, but I will not show you the answer. This ensures that you understand the concept of the assignment and you will be able to complete other assignments just as well by yourself.
Due to my abilities in both the creative and the quantitative fields, my methods are flexible to accommodate any style of thinking.
For academics:
- Math between 1st grade to 10th grade.
- Geology for high school; fundamentals of geology, introduction to geophysics, introduction to engineering geology, and introduction to hydrogeology for college/university students or college prep
- Environmental science for high school and college prep
- Chemistry for high school
- Physics for high school
For music:
- Rock guitar: 60s -90s rock rhythm guitar study
- Metal guitar: 70s - 90s rhythm and intermediate leads study
- Percussion: Rudimentary studies, rock/pop drum set fundamentals, intermediate metal drumming (double kick techniques)
