Hi, I’m Laura—a passionate geography tutor with a background in emergency management, environmental systems, and real-world fieldwork. As a geography tutor, I aim to make complex concepts engaging, relevant, and easy to grasp by connecting theory with real-world examples. My teaching approach is interactive and student-centered, adapting each session to the learner's needs and learning style. I use a mix of visual tools, case studies, maps, and current global events to bring the subject to life and encourage critical thinking.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review or warm-up activity, followed by an in-depth focus on the topic of the day—whether it's climate systems, human-environment interactions, or global development. We’ll work through diagrams, practice exam-style questions, and finish with a short reflection or quiz to reinforce key takeaways.
What sets me apart is my real-world experience in emergency management and environmental systems. Having worked in disaster resilience and traveled extensively, I offer unique insights that go beyond the textbook—ideal for students who want to understand geography in action.
