About Spiros
Hi, I’m Spiros Aristodemou!
I’m a passionate tutor specialising in Maths, Physics, and Spanish, and teaching has always been a big part of my life. As someone who’s a quarter Colombian, my connection to the Spanish language and culture runs deep. My mum, who is half Colombian and grew up in Colombia, is a Spanish tutor herself, and her passion for teaching and her cultural background have had a huge influence on me. Watching her teach and inspire her students showed me just how rewarding it can be to help others grow in both confidence and skill. Seeing how she brought the language to life—from grammar to storytelling—sparked my own interest in sharing my knowledge with others.
Why I Want to Teach: For me, tutoring is about more than just helping students achieve good grades. It’s about empowering them to believe in their abilities, overcome challenges, and develop a deeper understanding of what they’re learning. I know how frustrating it can be to feel stuck, but I also know the difference that personalised support and encouragement can make. I aim to create a learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow with every session.
Whether you’re preparing for exams, struggling with tricky concepts, or aiming to improve your conversational Spanish, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. I had a 1-1 session with Spiros to go through some A-Level Physics exam questions, and I can’t believe how much more I understood by the end of it.
