About Afraz
Hello! My name is Afraz, and I am a dedicated and passionate tutor specializing in Physics and Chemistry and have been teaching GCSE students for over 1 and half years. With a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, I have a solid academic background in the subjects I teach alongside the practical application.

I teach in an education institute based in Brixton. Over the past years, I have helped numerous students improve their understanding of complex scientific concepts, prepare for exams, and achieve their academic goals. Most of my student’s grade improved by 2 levels compared to their school predicted grades and that is during the last few weeks of revision. My teaching philosophy is centered around the idea that learning should be engaging and enjoyable. I strive to make my lessons interactive and fun while ensuring that my students grasp the fundamentals of the subject matter.
I believe that every student has unique learning needs and styles. Therefore, I tailor my teaching methods to suit each individual student, providing personalized attention and strategies that work best for them. Whether it’s through visual aids, real-world examples, or interactive exercises, I aim to make learning Physics and Chemistry accessible and interesting. Owing to my Mechanical Design Engineering Experience, I am capable of enriching my lessons with practical examples to enable the student think critically and make the lesson enjoyable.
In addition to teaching, I continuously update my knowledge in Physics and Chemistry to ensure that I am up-to-date with the latest developments and GCSE curriculum changes. This enables me to provide my students with the most relevant and accurate information. I know the types of question that usually comes in GCSE exams, and I can help the students with my own custom question.
With GCSE exams right around the corner, it is imperative to start the Revision journey as soon as possible for improving grades.
