About Ben
I’ve achieved all grade 9s in my GCSEs and two A*s and an A in my A Levels. I currently study maths at the University of Bath, where I am in my second year of a master's degree. In secondary school, I used the Isaac Physics platform to complete extra challenge questions. I also attended extra maths problem-solving lessons and competed in the UKMT maths challenges. In terms of experience, during secondary school, I tutored younger students who needed to receive extra support with STEM. I’ve also been a peer mentor to other students in school, helping with their homework and problems.

I believe physics, and science as a whole, is a subject everyone can become fluent at, and with the right support all students can achieve a high grade. My teaching style involves understanding content deeply then applying this to the problems that need to be solved. Through deep understanding, students are able to apply their knowledge better, which gives them the best possible chance of being successful.

Ben is an amazing teacher, since I started lessons with him I’ve noticeably seen not only my skills in maths improve but also my confidence. He takes time to go through concepts in detail and is always open to offering help even if this is after lessons, highly recommend and look forward to continuing my lessons.
