About Jake
I achieved a grade 8 (A* equivalent) in GCSE Maths, and an A in A-level Maths. I am currently 21 and studying Economics at the University of Bath. I have always had a passion for Maths. I also have plenty of experience tutoring my younger sister and younger brother in GCSE and A-level maths.

In my lessons I use techniques which have been proven to work through my own GCSE and A-level experience. I also use methods which have worked for my younger brother and sister when I tutored them for their GCSE Maths exams. I believe that the best way to improve at Maths is through practice. There is little to be gained through sitting through lengthy explanations. It is much more efficient to do practice questions and practice papers and learn through making mistakes and correcting them. I also believe in patience and giving students chances to be wrong and improve.
