About Kevin
I’m a qualified GCSE Maths tutor and a keen programmer. At the moment, I’m developing a web application powered by AI to help learners revise for their GCSE exams. I’m passionate about combining technology with teaching to create modern, engaging ways of learning. For me, mathematics is a truly elegant subject. I enjoy helping students discover its patterns, logic, and beauty while building their confidence and exam skills. My goal is always to make maths clear, approachable, and rewarding for every learner.

My Approach to Tutoring I believe that every student can make real progress in maths when they feel supported and the subject is explained clearly. My lessons are interactive, encouraging, and focused on building both confidence and understanding. I break topics down step by step, using plenty of worked examples and practice questions, and I always adapt my explanations to suit the individual learner. Lesson Structure A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although I can offer shorter or longer sessions depending on the student’s needs. I usually begin with a quick recap to check understanding, followed by clear teaching of the topic, guided practice, and exam-style questions to build confidence. At the end of each lesson, I review progress so students leave knowing exactly what they’ve achieved. Experience & Qualifications PGCE in Mathematics Degree in Music Production Over 3 years of classroom teaching experience in schools 10+ years teaching online Thorough knowledge of the GCSE curriculum and exam board expectations Proven track record of helping students gain confidence and improve their results Who I Teach I tutor GCSE Maths (Foundation and Higher) for students aged 11–16, as well as adult learners who are resitting or refreshing their maths skills. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each learner’s pace and goals.
