About Luke
I’m Luke, a second year student at the University of Birmingham, doing a Bsc Mathematics degree. I have always enjoyed explaining concepts to others and helping people understand and learn to enjoy different concepts in maths and physics. I like to pack a lot into sessions and make the most of time together with students, ensuring they leave a tutorial confident with whatever topic we were handling.

I strongly believe that tutors have to take a very personalised approach, offering more than just teaching but tracking progress, looking at what a student’s strengths and weaknesses are and adjusting teaching styles to suit what works best for the person learning. Although students only may be looking to achieve a certain grade, I want them to enjoy the subject that they are learning and I endeavour to make this happen.
