About Harrison
I'm Harrison, a Year 13 student in Northern Ireland. Since September I've been one of my school's English Mentors, working one to one with a GCSE student every week on the things most people actually find hard: generating ideas, structuring an answer, and writing to what the examiner is marking. I sat the CCEA GCSEs myself in 2026, so the courses I teach are the ones I have just done, and I remember exactly where the marks get lost. I got 5 A*s and 5 As at GCSE, including perfect UMS scores in Maths and English Language.

The first session is free and it is a working session: bring a piece of work or a topic that has gone wrong and we will fix it there and then. After that, every lesson has one clear target. For English that usually means planning an answer properly, building a paragraph that actually argues something, or handling the source questions. For Maths and Digital Technology it means picking the exact topic that is costing you marks and working it until you can do it unaided, then proving it with exam questions. I teach the way I would want to be taught: plain English, no waffling, and I will tell you honestly what is good and what is not. You get notes or worked examples after every session. Everything is online, so no travel for either of us.
