About Theo
I am a dedicated and approachable tutor specialising in Mathematics and Economics for GCSE students and younger. Currently studying A Level Mathematics, Economics, and Business at King Edward VI School, Southampton, I have developed a strong academic foundation and a passion for helping others succeed. My teaching approach focuses on clear explanations, interactive problem-solving, and real-world applications, ensuring that students not only understand key concepts but also develop confidence in their abilities. I tailor my lessons to suit each student’s learning style, using structured revision techniques and exam strategies to maximise their potential. Beyond academics, I have honed my leadership and mentoring skills through various roles within my school community. My experience includes mentoring younger students, assisting at school events, and completing the JPMorgan Chase Investment Banking Job Simulation, where I further developed my analytical and problem-solving abilities. I am committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace. Techniques and Teaching Methodology: I tailor my teaching approach to each student’s learning style, ensuring they grasp key concepts through clear explanations, worked examples, and interactive problem-solving. I focus on building strong foundational knowledge while developing problem-solving skills through real-world applications, particularly in Economics. I also provide structured revision techniques, past paper practice, and exam strategies to boost confidence and performance. Typical Length of a Lesson: A standard lesson lasts one hour, but I am flexible depending on the student’s needs. Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor: I am currently studying A Level Mathematics, Economics, and Business at King Edward VI School, Southampton. I have a strong academic background in these subjects and have developed my teaching and communication skills through leadership roles, mentoring younger students, and assisting at school events. Additionally, I have completed many courses for example, JPMorgan Chase Investment Banking Job Simulation, further strengthening my analytical and problem-solving abilities.
