I am currently studying a BTEC in IT (Level 3 National Extended Diploma) at college and hoping to further get into cybersecurity, whether that be an apprenticeship or a job on its own.

As a GCSE Computer Science tutor, my approach is student-centered, tailored to the unique needs and learning styles of my students. I employ a variety of techniques and teaching methodologies to ensure effective understanding and retention of the material.
My teaching methodology includes:
Structured Approach: I follow a structured curriculum aligned with the GCSE Computer Science syllabus, covering all the key topics and ensuring that students are well-prepared for their exams. I provide clear explanations, examples, and practice exercises to reinforce learning.
Individualized Instruction: I assess the strengths and weaknesses of each student and tailor my lessons accordingly. I provide additional support in areas where students may struggle and challenge them in areas where they excel to build their confidence and competence.
Feedback and Assessment: I provide regular feedback to students on their progress and areas for improvement. I use formative and summative assessments to evaluate their understanding and adjust my teaching accordingly.
Real-World Applications: I emphasize the practical applications of computer science concepts to help students connect theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios. This includes using relevant examples, case studies, and projects to demonstrate the practical relevance and significance of the subject.
The typical length of a lesson is 60 minutes, although it can be adjusted based on the needs and attention span of the students.
As a qualified and experienced tutor, I know the OCR GCSE Computer Science Spec and have in-depth knowledge of the GCSE Computer Science syllabus. I have recently completed the course and taught it to family members to help them achieve excellent results.
My lessons are designed for GCSE students, typically ranging in age from 14-16 years old, who are preparing for their Computer Science exams. I work with students of varying abilities, from those who need additional support to those seeking to excel in the subject. My aim is to help students achieve their academic goals, build a strong foundation in Computer Science, and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will benefit them beyond their GCSE exams.
