About Victoria
I am currently studying for my GCSEs and i teach up to key stage 3. I started tutoring in the spring of last year when i taught my neighbours daughter for her 11+ exam, of which she passed getting into grammar school. I am currently teaching another two pupils at 11+ standards who i am confident will pass too.

During lessons i first like to recap what we did in the previous lesson then tell the student what i am going to teach them this lesson and then teach it to them before recapping what we just learnt. This is a known teaching practice which helps the student subconsciously process the information by repeating it four times over two lessons. I also like to keep the lessons friendly so the student feels comfortable to ask questions and let me know when they don't understand. I have found this helps the student lots when comprehending new information. I also like to get to know the student before i teach them and them to get to know me a little so they student feels like their not talking to a complete stranger, which i have found helps them feel more comfortable to express their opinions and ask questions.
