About Amelie
Hi, I’m Amelie. When I was in college, I mentored GCSE Maths students and discovered how rewarding it is to help someone truly understand a subject they once found difficult. I worked closely with one student in particular, supporting her step by step, and with time and encouragement she progressed up a maths set. Seeing her confidence grow is what inspired me to continue tutoring.
I’m passionate about helping students feel capable and supported, especially those who may struggle with confidence in maths. I believe with patience, clear explanations and the right encouragement, every student can make real progress.

My lessons are designed to support GCSE Foundation Maths students who may feel unsure or lack confidence in the subject. I understand that maths can feel overwhelming, so I focus on creating a calm, friendly and encouraging space where students feel comfortable asking questions.
Each lesson is personalised and taught 1:1, allowing me to move at a pace that suits the student. We work through topics step by step, using clear explanations and plenty of practice to build understanding and confidence. I focus on strengthening key foundation skills such as number work, algebra and problem-solving.
My aim is not just to improve grades, but to help students feel more positive and capable when approaching maths, both in lessons and in exams.
