About the lesson

I am currently studying my A-levels, maths, further maths, chemistry and physics at sixth form. These intensive subjects means I have a good understanding in anything up to GCSE maths, physics and chemistry. In my GCSE’s, I achieved a 9 in maths, an A* in physics and an A* in chemistry, which didn’t come without hard work. However, I do believe that I am able to explain the content to a standard where others are able to understand it as well and can then apply this knowledge to examinations.

Up to now, I have helped several other students with their GCSE chemistry, all of which then went on to achieve the grade they hoped to get. Due to my age, I haven’t yet fully tutored many students but I have volunteered to teach some year 11s at my school who are struggling with their GCSEs in science.

I personally believe that it is important to build a relationship with the student in order to bring out the best in them. Going through exam questions and putting into practice the information I have previously gone through with them is crucial. Working close to the specification is also crucial in order to make sure the student is taught everything they need to.
