About Giovanna
I have a PhD in Classics (University of Edinburgh), 10+ years experience working on Classical languages, 9 years experience tutoring young learners in Classics, and 4 years experience teaching Latin, Ancient Greek, Ancient History, and Classical Literature to undergraduate students at the University of Edinburgh. I support learners with mastering the Latin and (Ancient) Greek grammar, syntax and vocabulary, translating from Latin and Greek into English and vice versa (prose composition), as well essay and dissertation writing in Classics-related subjects, such as Ancient History, Classical Literature(s), and Classical Civilisation.

My teaching style is all about empowering you to develop solid yet flexible methodology so that you can be an independent learner and critical thinker. I teach Classics-related subjects in a practical, pragmatic way. A mixture of tailored exercises and engaging learning materials appropriate to your level and needs will provide you with the tools and confidence to reach your goals. My teaching ethics is to make sure that you won't need my help for long!
