About Mae
I have over 8 years of experience teaching Chemistry and hold an MSc in Radiochemistry. My focus is on food chemistry and nutritional science, exploring how molecules affect what we eat. I teach macromolecules, food additives, and metabolic processes in a clear and practical way. Lessons include dietary analysis and food product development to make chemistry relevant to everyday life. Students learn how chemical reactions occur during cooking and food processing. I emphasize connecting theory with real-world applications in nutrition and culinary science. Lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s goals. I work with learners from diverse backgrounds, including culinary enthusiasts and nutrition students. My approach fosters curiosity, analytical thinking, and practical problem-solving. Students gain a deeper understanding of how chemistry underpins healthy eating. I encourage questions, discussion, and hands-on exploration. Together, we explore the science behind food and nutrition. My goal is to make chemistry engaging, practical, and inspiring. You’ll leave each session with insight into food science and healthy living.

I teach Chemistry with a gentle, reflective approach that focuses on the mathematical foundations of the subject. My lessons cover physical chemistry, quantum mechanics, chemical thermodynamics, and statistical mechanics. I emphasize understanding the core principles rather than rote memorization. Students are guided to explore complex theories step by step. I work closely with DIY Biologists and Science Fiction Thinkers, helping them find their unique voice in learning. Lessons encourage reflection, curiosity, and problem-solving. I integrate equations, derivations, and practical examples to make abstract concepts tangible. Students develop confidence in analyzing chemical systems and understanding their underlying laws. My sessions are interactive, allowing space for questions and discussion. I focus on connecting concepts across topics to show the bigger picture. Students gain tools to approach challenging problems with clarity and calm. Together, we discover chemistry at its core, exploring its elegance and logic. My goal is to make learning thoughtful, inspiring, and empowering. You’ll leave each session seeing chemistry in a new, exciting way.
