About Mykiela
I am a college student working towards a Masters in a Mathematics in Secondary Education program. I am currently in year 2 of a 4 year program. I have previous experience in tutoring school aged students as I worked both paid and voluntary in an after school program for more than 4 years. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and love of maths and enjoy helping others. My ideal range is from 4th to 7th grade learners, this is where students are now beginning to broaden their knowledge of more complex math problems.

My teaching methodology is that I first observe the student to find out their weakness and work with them to better understand their weakness and build upon it to make them a stronger more confident student. A classroom situation is different than working with individuals. Presently I am doing teacher training which is part of my course so I am now learning more skills which I will be able to utilize when I tutor prospective students.
